Certification Of Documents

The High Commission of Malaysia can provide certification/witness signature pertaining to Malaysian Documents. Kindly bring the original documents together with a copy of each original document and proof of identities of all the persons whose signatures are to be witnessed. The fee is AUD 5.00 per signature. Kindly call the High Commission for an appointment.

Appointment Time: 9:00am to 10:00am
Collection of Document: The same day after 3:00pm

For Malaysian please bring:

- Passport and Identity Card (original and 1 copy)

- Original documents together with a copy of each original document

 

For Non Malaysian please bring:

- Passport (original and 1 copy)/Driver's Licence/birth certificate

- Original documents together with a copy of each original document

Legal documents pertaining to property, inheritance, business etc., must be certified by the High Commission if to be lodged in Malaysia. A Notary Public or Justice of Peace's certification is no longer accepted by Malaysian Courts.

 

Translation of Malaysian Documents

 

Driving Licence

To apply for an Australian Driving Licence, you may be required by the RTA to supply a translation of your Malaysian licence.

(1) In Person:-

Appointment days: Monday to Thursday
Appointment Time: 9:00am to 10:00am
Collection of Document: The same day after 3:00pm

Document Requirement:

1. Driving Licence (original and copy)

2. Identity Card (original and copy)

3. Passport (original and copy)

4. Student Card for student (original and 1 copy)

5.Write a letter of request to Malaysian High Commission to translate your driving license and state your address and contact nos. in Australia in the letter. 

6. Fee AUD 5.00 per translation.  No charges for student.  Kindly include a certified copy of your student ID.

(2) By Mail:-

Document Requirement:

1.Driving Licence (certified copy)

2.Identity Card (certified copy)

3.Passport (certified copy)

4.Student Card for student (certified copy)

5.Write a letter of request to Malaysian High Commission to translate your driving license and state your address and contact nos. in Australia in the letter.

6. Fee AUD 5.00 per translation by way of Money Order made out to Malaysian High Commission. 

7. Please enclose a self-addressed reply paid Registered Post envelope.

Processing time of approximately 7 working days.

 

Translation Of Birth /Marriage Certificate

The High Commission can only provide unofficial translation of documents.  If official translation is required by the Australian government for immigration matters e.g., PR, Visa, etc., translation must be done by NAATI accredited certified translator, not the High Commission.

Unofficial translation by the High Commission can be made by:-

 

(1) In person:-

Appointment days: Monday to Thursday
Appointment Time: 9:00am to 10:00am
Collection of Document: The same day after 3:00pm

Application Time: Arrive before 10:00am
Collection Time: After 3:00pm
Fee: AUD 10.00  

 

(2) By Mail:-

Processing time of approximately 7 working days.

Send a certified copy of the certificate.

Money Order made out to Malaysian High Commission.

Use a self return address Registered Post envelope for the reply.
