The High Commission of Malaysia

The registration of Malaysian citizens who reside in Australia is not compulsory. However, it is advisable to register with the High Commission as soon as possible after your arrival as to make your presence and whereabouts known to the High Commission in Canberra. By registering yourself and/or your family, you are assisting the High Commission to locate or contact you in case of any emergency or if a situation requires us to do so. It will also enable the High Commission to get in contact with your family or next of kin in Malaysia in a case where unforeseen situation occurs.
